Wedding Ceremony

Please aim to arrive at least 15-30 minutes before the ceremony to be seated in good time. The best option for parking is next to the church for a small fee. We understand the Ring O'Bells pub which is next to the church will be open from 12pm.

We kindly ask that mobile phones be switched off and that no photographs are taken during the church ceremony, so that everyone is fully present with us in this special moment.

Confetti can be used in certain areas (TBC).

Dress Code

Whatever you feel comfortable in but wedding attire is preferable!

Policy on Children

Although we love your children, our wedding will be an adult only occasion.

Our reception will be held in the Kendal Suite, which can be found on the right hand side as you enter the main hotel reception.

Venue Information

The hotel has three car parks and we recommend unloading any bags at the main reception which is the very top car park. If you require a disabled space please speak to the hotel beforehand.

Travelodge Kendal is not far from Castle Green, but you would likely need a taxi afterwards. One night on 2 May currently costs £153. Parking is £3.

After the ceremony, head around the one way system and head towards Castle Green Hotel which can be found at LA9 6RG.

If arriving my train, it is best to arrive at Oxenholme train station. You are likely to need a taxi for onward travel.

Your presence at our celebration is the greatest gift we could ask for and we are delighted to share our special day with you. Should you wish to give a gift, we would be grateful for a contribution towards our new home as we begin this exciting chapter together.

Food & Drink

You will be very well fed at our wedding reception, but as we are getting married at 12.30pm we suggest a late breakfast or a light bite beforehand. We suggest you bring something with you if you are travelling from a distance.  A buffet will also be available later in the evening.
